But basically he likes Hatter. At least up until the point where he manages to hurt your feelings it's nice to have someone who's feelings he apparently can't hurt. He doesn't honestly care a lot about the blind shit?? He's very precalibrated to accept ridiculous badass so if Hatter is like some kind of fake not being blind ninja which SEEMS LIKE THE CASE when with no memories at all he gets the hang of navigating while blind without looking like a dumbass in under ten minutes, than yea. w/e. He might fret over it in specific circumstances but in general doesn't care.
He kinda surprised himself with TEAMINESS because King doesn't think of himself as very teamy, but team is replacing a lot of the foundations he lacks (his friends and his bro), so even if he has to be DISTANT AND COOL ABOUT IT. Team is just a.... huge part of his life and it's going to be a huge part of yours too ok (= We have rules!! Teaminess rules!!! Suck it up.
Anyway basically he's glad to have Hatter aboard and hopes he doesn't accidentally fuck you over. He doesn't remember a lot of what he said while drunk but is kind of embarrassed about it anyway and will just. avoid ever thinking about it again
